2012 Blog and News
Welcome to 2012. The A.G.M has come and gone and we've got ourselves sorted out pretty much for the new season.
Snow got in the way of the meeting, but nearly all of us were able to get there bar some who couldn't travel because of the weather.
The list of events is pretty much as shown on the events page, but I think some are yet to be added. We are going to be doing a Civil War weekend at Raglan, and also an event (probably mediaeval) at Caldicot and at the moment that looks like it might be Easter. I've got to have chats with the custodians at both places in the next couple of weeks and then I'll post the info. as soon as I know.
It feels like it's been winter for years to me, I am really looking forward to long sunny days and all the fun of the events that we get to go to.
If you read the blog and follow us (we got a lot of 'hits' on the website-the most ever, last December) then please come and talk to one of us in better still-buy one of our livery badges from us and join the club! A bargain at £3.00 and if you want we can include you in our newsletters.
More events on the List for 2012
Well the start of the season is creeping up on us now and I expect soon to be able to confirm an event for Easter, got to make some 'phone calls this week to sort it out. There are still discussions taking place for events later in the year but I hope you will agree that we have some lovley events this year, and several which we will perform in our own right at some lovely and evocative locations-I am relly pleased that we have Raglan as it lends iteself to a good rendition or English Civil War evemts and is a really nice visit anyway and a good place for a picnic! (Bring an extra Sarny-re-enactors are always hungry, just don't lean too far through the bars!!..)
I'll keep you posted.
